Recently, at the 11th UNESCO International Conference on Global Geoparks held in Chile, Huangshan UNESCO Global Geopark and Lesvos Island UNESCO Global Geopark renewed their Sister Park agreement.

It is understood that Lesvos Island UNESCO Global Geopark was the first overseas global geopark to establish formal friendly relations with Huangshan. Since the initial signing of the agreement in 2008, the two parties have continuously deepened exchanges and cooperation in areas such as park development, resource protection, and tourism development, achieving significant results. Moving forward, both sides will work together to promote the high-level protection and high-quality development of their respective geoparks, contributing wisdom and strength to building a modernization where humanity and nature coexist in harmony.
